Visual pollution is an aesthetic issue and refers to
the impacts of pollution that impair one's ability to enjoy a vista or view.
When you walk into your office room or cubicle, or in the
evening walk into your house Visual
pollution disturbs the visual areas of people by creating negative changes
in the natural environment. Files all over the table, left over coffee cup,
space debris, Mobile charger cable, paper plates, toys or dirty the clothes for
washing, etc.etc. Are forms of visual pollution?
An overcrowding of an area causes visual pollution. Visual pollution is defined
as the confused or disordered state or collection or a jumble of trash. In other word it is called clutter.
On the other hand you walk into clean, simple office. When I
walk into office room that has been decluttered,
that has a minimalist look, and there isn’t junk lying around, there is a calm
and joy that enters your heart.
Here are my top
decluttering tips. A
successful attack on clutter requires time, energy and motivation. There is no
such thing as a declutter Angle, who works while you are away from the office.
Set aside just 15 minutes to declutter just one cub-board or
drawer, and when that cub-board or drawer or that 15 minutes is up, celebrate
your victory. Then tackle another area for 15 minutes the next day. Conquering
an entire room can be overwhelming, and you might put it off forever. If that’s
the case, just do it in baby steps.

Be merciless: “either it should be
useful or beautiful”. Magazines, catalogues, junk mail, bills more than a year old,
notes to you, notes from others, old work stuff … toss it! The only exception
is with tax-files, Insurance files. Stuffs like that which should be kept for
many years.
Beginning
your war against clutter with a small success provides welcome motivation for
the long haul. When you feel yourself starting to flag, returning to that one
clear space, shelf or drawer will remind you of the goal--and give a new burst
of energy for the next step. You can do
it!
Sort through your pile, one item at a
time, and make quick decisions. Have a trash bag and a give-away box handy. When you pull everything out of a shelf or
drawer, sort through the pile one at a time. Pick up an item, and make a decision:
trash, give away, or keep. Don’t put it back in the pile. Do this with the
entire pile, and soon, you’ll be done. If you keep sorting through the pile,
and re-sorting, it’ll take forever. Put
back only what you want to keep, and arrange it nicely.
Celebrate when you’re done! This is
actually a general rule in life: always celebrate your accomplishments, no
matter how small. Even if you just Decluttered
one drawer, that’s wonderful. Pat yourself on the back and indulge into
something delicious. Open that drawer (or closet, or whatever), and admire its visual
impact. Learn to live with less, minimalism create more space. Admire yourself and
know that you have done a good thing. Enjoy
the clutter free office or home.
Once
clutter has been banished, the real work of change begins. To conquer clutter
once and for all, focus on these clutter prevention ideas:
Follow
it up: It’s because you don’t have a regular system to keep things in their
place, and get rid of stuff you don’t need. This is a topic for another day,
but it’s something to think about as you declutter. You’ll never get to
perfect, but if you think more intelligently about how your house got
cluttered, perhaps you can find ways to
stop it from happening again. Be Organised.
One In, One Out
For more exotic clutter
contenders, adopt a one-in, one-out rule.
